The Dutch language journal Tijdschrift voor Genderstudies is a forum for the scientific problematisation of gender in relation to ethnicity, sexuality, class, and age. The journal aims to contribute to science and appropriate interventions in debates about gender and diversity in the Netherlands and Flanders. It is an interdisciplinary medium operating at the intersection of society, culture, the humanities, health and science and has a partnership with the Netherlands Research School of Gender Studies (NOG).

The editors welcome articles about gender issues from different disciplines, and also accepts English articles. As well as research articles, the journal includes essays, columns (short topical and polemical articles), interviews, reviews, summaries of dissertations and conference reports.
This journal uses a double blind peer review process to select articles for publication.
Articles in this journal have Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), which are registered with CrossRef. The DOI is a unique number that identifies a published article. The DOI provides a link to current information about that article, including where it can be found online, irrespective of any changes in the journal or publishing company website.
For long-term preservation, all issues of this journal are archived at the Dutch National Library and Portico.
