Farish A. Noor just published his fourth book with Amsterdam University Press: The Discursive Construction of Southeast Asia in 19th Century Colonial-Capitalist Discourse.

Apart from being a brilliant author, historian and political scientist, Dr. Noor recently also starred as the host of a documentary series called Inventing Southeast Asia with Channel News Asia. In this 3-episode long series, he takes an epic journey across Indonesia, Borneo, Vietnam and Cambodia to explore the origins of Southeast Asian identities, which is a welcome addition to the topics he discusses in his book.
