Amsterdam University Press is proud to announce their successful participation in the innovative Knowledge Unlatched project to make academic monographs in the Humanities and Social Sciences available in Open Access.
Knowledge Unlachted demonstrates the successful application of an innovative shared-cost publishing model: Almost 300 libraries from around the world have joined in financing the publishing in Open Access of 78 academic monographs from 26 renowned university and academic publishing houses. The books willbe made available on a Creative Commons licence as a fully downloadable PDF
Through Knowledge Unlatched, four titles from Amsterdam University Press will be made available in Open Access:
- Humour and Irony in Dutch Post-war Fiction Film by Peter Verstraten
- The Conscience of Cinema - The works of Joris Ivens 1926-1989 by Thomas Waugh
- Borderland City in New India - Frontier to Gateway by Duncan McDuie-Ra
- Visions of the End in Medieval Spain - Catalogue of Illustrated Beatus Commentaries on the Apocalypse and Study of the Geneva Beatus by John Williams, edited by Therese Martin
As soon as the titles are published and unlatched, they can be accessed via OAPEN.
